Project: Roof-tile Replacement and Extension of Eves
This is an unsolicited testimony to acknowledge the excellent service and workmanship of:
- Global Innovation Building Systems and,
- Roof Projects
The photo below shows the front elevation of my property after the installation of Owens Corning™ TruDefinition® Duration® Shingles. The project consisted of the following:
- Removal of existing fibre-cement roof tiles ± 700m2
- Extension of eves ± 80m2
- Installation of side cladding ± 250m2
- Installation of TruDefinition® Duration® Shingles ± 780m2
The project lasted approximately 6 weeks. The removal of the old tiles and installation of the shingle system took approximately 4 weeks with a further 2 weeks required to complete the side cladding.
My wife and I are totally satisfied with the end result and believe our 30-year old house has been transformed into the 21st Century.
Product & Delivery
The Product was delivered in two shipments to ensure there was no excess inventory on site. Each consignment was delivered on time and the team from Global Innovation Building Systems were professional and courteous.

Product Installation
The photo illustrates the installation process and core components: wooden boards, waterproof / breathable membrane and shingle. The sequential process ensures the roof is watertight each night.

Side Cladding and Extension of Eves
The eves of the roof were extended by approximately 1m around the house and ceilings fitted beneath. Side cladding was installed against all gable ends. Each board was carefully aligned to maintain continuous lines throughout.
